Information

The recipes of the glazes posted here are the results of a research project conducted 15 years ago by my friend Bernard Brunette and I.

Hardwood ash was used, it was washed 5 times and 200 mesh-sieved.
De la cendre de bois dur fut utilisée, lavée 5 fois et tamisée à 200 mailles.
We used Ash Berhens for ease of calculating molecular analyses.
Nous avons utilisé Ash Berhens pour faciliter le calcul des analyses moléculaires

Ash Berhens :

Richard Berhens, a famous glaze chemist, proposed a mixture of
raw materials to substitute for wood ash.
